Design Idea / Parti - Lighting

My 'Parti' that will be used for my building design in Devonport will be how light is used to create solids and voids.

I have started some conceptual sketches potraying these ideas.

Design Brief - Devonport

After all these precedent and case studies we have been given a building to design for a couple in either 23 King Edward Parade, Devonport or in Ponsonby.
My selected site is in Devonport because I'm interested in it's rich past as it is one of New Zealand's oldest suburbs. What also interested me was the idea of designing a building by the seaside. I would like to design for the surrounding environment and I believe this will be a challenging site to build on since it has a 10 Metre High bush behind it!

1st Month of architecture over!

Just had an informal crit about the Magney House which was my case study.
I learnt a lot of design principles Glenn Murcutt uses throughout his buildings.
